Wet Paintby ColeyComment: Not very distinct shadow doesn't really add to a not so interesting shot...

Spirit of Hamleinby KoriyamaComment: Best of show so far! Good distinct shadow. Great use of light source to both create the shadow and as an integral part of the shot! Kudos

Scardy Catby kosmikkreeperComment: This would be awesome if it had one distinct shadow rather than the multiple ones here...

Virgoby NeuferlandComment: Deannda, due to the fact that I'm very overworked and stressed out, I did not have a chance to vote on this shot. I didn't even see it until your forum thread... I would have given it an 8 (and I don't give out 8-10 lightly...)
This is a very BEAUTIFUL shot of a beautiful model! The soft focus affect is awesome and IMHO makes the shot. It is also one of the few times (in a non soft focus challenge) that it really makes sense to use this affect! In your notes it says that you softened in post editing. I would like to know which technique you used.
Your lighting is great. You are just a touch overexposed in the background, but it is not really that important here.
Overall a great shot and one to be proud of. Don't let scores bring you down!
Yours (as always)

Home on the Rangeby ShannonComment: From the Critique Club
Shannon, this is an awesome picture! I love the 3 dimensional feeling here. There is a definate sense of depth. The neutral color scheme works very well also. The earthy tones of the soil and grasses go well with the tones of the animal itself.
Under ideal circumstances, there are a couple of things that might have made this shot even more potent. This includes framing the shot so the animal is looking into the frame instead of out of it. I would LOVE to see more detail in the animals fur especially in the face areas. None of these things really detracts from the shot, but would maybe add to it...
Great work,
