This, to me, doesn't look like the title would imply... Photo wise, it looks like horribly difficult lighting. Did you use any flash? I think it would have helped to bring out his features.

Of all the sun shots, this one is the best one so far! Very nice dramatic sky. I've had conversations in the forums about the luck factor in photography and got laughed at but this, to me, proves that there is such a factor...

This is one very nice subtle shot! I personally love the low key lighting but understand that this is probably why it scored kinda (IMO) low not that 5.5 is all that bad. I love the way you put this on an angle. It gives it a sense of mystery! I (once again personally) also like that it's a touch on the soft side. This is kinda nice to see in an architecture challenge however, that said, it also probably had an effect on your score.

So even though I think it should have scored a bit higher cause I like it, the voters probably saw a shot that was a little too soft and a little dark and didn't give it a second chance.

Sunset doesn't last all evening

A sunset without a subject isn't all that interesting unless it's a very dramatic sunset. This one is nice but not enough to make the shot by itself.
