First Snowfallby libitComment: I think you would have done much better with a different title. Unfortunately, we cannot see your comments until after the challenge is over. A title like "Leave the cold weather behind" would have ranked you a lot higher in the challenge. Looking at all the comments, including mine, I see the basic problem was, no one saw this as a new year's resolution, but leaving the cold weather behind, or "move to where it is warm" or some title showing how this photo relates to a resolution for change. |

First Snowfallby libitComment: First Snowfall... that's your new year's resolution? You're going to make it snow? How is this a resolution? |

Catch up on my reading...by tj_skalkaComment: What's that in the upper right corner. The white balance also seems to be off here. I think the photo has also been overly sharpened, producing those nasty jaggies. |

Start Wearing a Seatbelt!!by gconderComment: Um... I would never wear a seatbelt on a motorcycle -- do you think I would want to be strapped to the OUTSIDE of 500 lbs of flying metal? I know, not much of a comment on photo composition -- sorry. |

Failure and Successby jcordinaComment: ROTFLMAO! I'm not sure about the photo... yet, but man, what a sense of humor! I'm not a big fan of just shots of paper or boards, such as this one, but you've taken an interesting angle to the shot -- not just a boring straight on shot or anything. Not too sharp, not too soft -- it is just about right with a proper depth of field to express the idea. I guess it is a quality photo. The only shortcoming is I wish I could see the beginning of 1997 rather than dot dot dot. The not completely rubbed off previous writings are a must to make this the photo it is. |
