Thanks jayson! I honestly thought a candid shot would mean something like a spy shot.. because if the subject was aware of the camera, their expressions will not be candid anymore. I appreciate the advice, and the comments on lighting, and the details.

This is a great shot in many aspects... composition, colors, post processing, etc.
The one important thing that led me to vote a bit low on this one was because it looked all 'setup' and not 'candid'.

The spot blurring sources itself to the tiger's huge tongue on the glass that separated it from us camera junkies. For some reason, he got annoyed with me setting the shot up and taking too long.. so as I was about to click, he smeared the glass with his saliva;-)

About the crop and over sharpening, I agree.. I should have done better with those.
