The whole excersize is to see who can handle the lighting, exposure and timing of the fireworks the best. The combination of the different elements make it quite a challenge. This photgraph to me seems like an opt-out of the real issues at play in this challenge.

This is "Clever", but won't cut it. The whole excersize is to see who can handle the lighting, exposure and timing of the fireworks the best. The combination of the different elements make it quite a challenge. To photgraph a flower is an opt-out of the real issues at play in this challenge.

The uncropped scene was in fact better, but I cropped it to bring out more detail in the small photo size that was are allowed.

This is really such a nice photo, but it is difficult to see the connection with the windowshopping theme. I do not think the scores will reflect the quality of this photo, just because there is not enough clear connection with the competition title. This was a tough message I got early when I started competing here.
Good luck anyway. Its a nice photo to have in your portfolio.

I like this. Your bukeh adds to the value of the picture - unlike most of the other photos in this competition. This is excellent. Now where's the beer?

The bukeh here somehow does not fit in with the foreground that you focussed on. The statue-part is very good! The round specs in the background somehow seems out of place to me.

Great photo! Maybe if the bokeh showed some of the carriages coming around the corner, the picture would have been enhanced.
