Fall Upside Downby jekershner7Comment: Lovely reflection, maybe a little over used as a subject in this challenge but this one is very nicely done, the composition is very nice with the tree on the left drawing the eye really well. My only gripe is it looks a little soft

Color Studyby jaysonmcComment: Interesting shot but unfortunately does not say upside down to me, I guess it could be a reflection which I guess would make it upside down but that is not blatantly obvious in the image.

I am finding it hard to draw out enough detail to keep my attention though, maybe a tighter crop in portrait would have given a bit more impact and allowed for more detail in the child

I think it needed straightening a bit as it seems to fall off to the right and the colours whilst very autumnal and warm tend to make the image look a little flat. Wonderful reflection though.

This is funby JudiComment: Nice crisp shot and nicely blown background.
The kids hair is really interesting and he has a nice expression, would have liked to maybe see some catchlight in his eyes to really make this pop.

EXP00009.jpgby sulamkComment: Yes agree with JMart here, you would normally expect to see these things shot with a very shallow DOF looking almost soft - but I feel this works as well due to the fact that it is tack sharp and pulls the flower out of the background. |
