This was a single five second exposure, but I used a two stop hard graduated neutral density filter above the horizon to keep the highlights in the sky tamed. At this point it was just about time to switch to a one stop filter- if not sooner :P

ETA- Ah, I understand what you were asking now Alain :) No, this was my first time at this place so I moved about a bit. A time lapse series from day to night in the same position would have been very cool though!

So my trip to France has come an gone and I only spent less than a day in a village somewhat like this (Honfleur), but absolutely loved it and wished I could have stayed to shoot more. It was so peaceful in contrast to the very energetic Paris where I spent most of my time.

Congratulations on the red Christophe! So this is what you were working on, such a great pose from your wife! So I am wondering if I'd had the time to make it to your place on that weekend I was nearby, might I have gotten a sample of this delicious cake- in addition to having the pleasure of meeting your wife? ;)
Still, very glad we got to meet for a short while in Paris and hope we can visit again next time I am over there :)
