Wow,, great perspective. This image has a lot going for it. But, I'm afraid that for this challenge, I find there is not enough impact of the remaining colour to make a really strong statement. Possibly if you had composed the shot to have the flowers fill more of the frame. As it stands this would be stunning as full black and white. 6

Lovely image of this wonderful bird. Unfortunately there is little colour showing to get the desaturation theme across. All I see is a wee bit of yellow around the eye, I would hope for a stronger colour element. This would be a stunning completely black and white shot.

No kidding!,, this is creative and well done. There is one little bit of something at the top that is distracting. The colour is a bit over the top.. With the title I was expecting Red.. This views as flourescent orange to me. I think if the colour had been a little less extreme I could have voted higher. Still nicely done.

well, this is not screaming Viva Las Vegas at me. So I'm not sure what the title is about. I really like the shot, though. grainy, vignetted, super tones. like a Holga gone wild. Maybe just a touch close on the top and bottom crop.. nicely done. 8

Normally I love selective desaturation. This one is leaving me wanting more. Possibly if you hadn't completely removed it all, left just a touch the image would have worked better for me.. of course this is just my opinion. It's a great shot. So it's all a matter of taste, I love seeing the little bits of her legs showing. 8

hmm, not something you see every day.. an urban bovine. I like the use of black and white. she is well camouflaged, took me a second to deduce what was here. nice textures, good use of B&W. maybe a touch more contrast, the light is just a little flat. 8
