Uplifting!

While I agree that being in a park or woods can be very uplifting and definitely a sanctuary for many this photo just doesn't have that punch to make it very interesting. The trees are over-exposed and seem to be blurry and the foreground is dark and doesn't really add to the photo. I understand that you were trying to create a mood and it might have looked different in person. Of course this is just my opinion which probably accounts for nothing.

While I think the colors work well and thesky is great I'm not crazy about the angle. In my opinion I think that it would have worked better as a straight forward shot.

While I do believe that you have filled the requirement of the challenge the execution is a little not quite there. The picture has no punch, the grave stone is washed out (the one that is leaning on the other) and the blurry grass in front is taking away from the picture. In this case I think that maybe this would have come out better in color with some saturation of the grass. Only my opinion though.

It must be me but I rated this photo way higher. I really liked it a lot. I was running late trying to vote and didn't get a chance to leave many comments, but I thought this was simple, to the point and very elegant. I gave it an 8.
