Thanks for the explanation, if you got a validation request in the middle of the week it was because of me. I thought no way that there was a full moon and did a dq-request. Still voted it an eight.

Thanks for the votes. This is the highest I've made it so far. Still, no ribbon. Sigh.

There were comments about the horizon a bit askew. It's not, actually. Land was a bit higher on the right. If I straightened the photo horizon on the land, then the horizontal lines of the sky would be the next thing many would notice askew. Now if only this wasn't a Basic Editing competition...

Yes, the lights were overblown. I guess that's the aesthetic license I exercised. I like the way the city "burns" with life. The "hottest" parts are actually the night spots.

The moon is actually young, not a full moon. But the long time exposure brought forth the shadowed part. Accidental effect but I like it.

Taken from my backyard (yes, I'm lucky to have this almost every night) in Antipolo. The city is Metro-Manila, Philippines.
