Don't Go Outsideby surfinbirdComment: I love the shot but I feel that the Depth of Field is too shallow to work for me. I just wish both her eyes were in focus. what a moment to capture though! and I like the dark desaturated tones. are you a fan of Joey Lawrence's work by any chance? (//www.joeyl.com/#)I'm seeing a lot of the same types of PP in your work. Lovely stuff. |

Framedby surfinbirdComment: this is perfect. sorta reminds me of the beginning of the film "Moulin Rouge", that fantasy antique look. Brilliant! and very good choice to use what looks like a high pass filter on her (though I could very easily be wrong). I love it, Fav. |

Tributeby faeryComment: I'm going to have to favorite you after seeing this. It took my breath away. It somehow evokes a deep emotion. I can't explain it. I wish you could have used a lower ISO (just to get rid of some of that noise in the flooring), but otherwise the lighting and mood is just right in my book. I could stare for hours. Thank you! |

Bouquetby BlainoComment: Originally posted by Mephisto: haha, this would be a nice shot for the current "body parts" challenge...;D
but honestly, what exactly did you try to achieve by cropping it like this? |
I guess I wanted the photo to be about the flowers, not the women holding them. I was struck by how well the bridesmaids posed themselves without me asking them to. Then afterwards, I noticed how the flowers made a cool half-circle with the Bride's bouquet in the center. It seemed too perfect. So I messed with the crop to get it right. Then, I was just experimenting w/photoshop (learning for the first time actually) and decided it would be a cool image to mess around with selective color and blurs. Long story short, I dunno, I just saw it that way! :)
Thanks for the comment. I wish I had shot this image recently so I could enter it! It does seem a little tacky coming back to it again. I still like it enough to put it on here though! |

music...by LtRavenComment: Brilliant! I love it. Very cinematic. It really tells about the moment. I feel like I know them well just from the image. Nicely done. |

Whispersby faeryComment: I love everything about this shot. The innocence, the mood, the lighting, the smile, the whisper (?), the tone. Very nicely done. Very natural. I wish I could have voted on it before the challenge ended! 10! My favorite image! |
