Hello hello! Sorry it took me so long to get around to this :)

I really liked this photo when I went through them...the depth of field is really really nice, and I love how sharp the cat is. The colors are lovely and calming, and the exposure is good.

I think the only real problems with this shot are the distracting background on the right and the fact that half the cat is cut off.

This would probably have been around a 6 had I been voting. If the background wasn't distracting and the cat wasn't cut off, it would have been a 7 or an 8.

I agree with your assessment...the blurred display definitely detracts from the image, as does the overly bright ring thingy...the player itself is quite well-done though, sharp and clear.

It's ridiculously hard to photograph electronics; I photographed my cellphone once, and had to use the GIMP to put the screen in afterwards.

A couple other detractors are the funky pattern in the upper part of the picture and the constellation of dust/hot pixels in the left.

Had I been voting, this would probably been a 4 or a 5...

Looks a bit like it's screaming, with that huge hole in it!

I would've cropped in a good bit closer.

One thing that really strikes me about this image is that while there is more than one tree in it, the tree draws your attention immediately because it's bare -- it's different from the others. I like that about it.

Great tonal range, love the tree (great fun to climb, I'd bet)...the picnic bench definitely adds to the image, in my opinion.

A little bit too dark and too yellow for my tastes. Gives the image an ominous feel.

Of course, if that was what you were going for, you've certainly accomplished it well.
