Campfire at Nightby magnusComment: OK this NEEDS another title. As a campfire there's really no "sacred" tie in. However fire is a sacred element to many cultures around the world. had you tied it in to one of those cultures and their rituals especaly with the almost full moon in the backgrownd I think you would have scored better from the "dose not fit challenge" police.
I almost scored it a 3 for that reason till I really looked at it. it's a solid photograph but I'm taking points off for a rotten title.

One thing did you use a difusing fillter or something else. I'm looking for a filter that will give me that soft glowy efect. |

special trout holeby wetlandComment: this is a very pretty spot
However you might want to adjust your WB if you can. There's a slight blue cast here. Not enough to ruin the pic but I'm sure your getting that. Next time you try this bring a tripod. I know it's a hassle but in any low light situation I have found that I get cleaner, sharper pix if I use a tripod. I learned that when I was still shooting regularly with my old kodak. It's ecential now with my rebel. It also provides something stable to lean on when I'm trogging through the woods. I got mine at wallmart only $40 they have cheeper ones but when I went to price tripods realized this was a good deal.
Have you tried long sutter spped for a soft look?? You don't have to the pic is good as it stands It's only that I'm experementing with them and I've found it frustrating and ultimatly satifying when I get a good result.
good luck.
It's a beautifll stream
