Do I vote high or low...fantastic example of you title subject...but it is exactly that..so what to do, what to do? Guess I have to give it a 9, simply because the tips of the two petals in the foreground are OOF....maybe one more F-Stop to get them, but fade off into the nice, cliche' bokeh.

I voted on this image, and gave it a 6. I basically like the image, however I do agree with some of the compositional comments already made. On another note, and please don't be offended here, but I am having a difficult time being sure on the gender of the subject. I had two co-workers look at this image, and I got different answers from each of them. This is probably due to the close cropping of the image, but it did affect my scoring. Last, this shot has a lot of detail, especially along the upper lip and nose of the subject. For me, perhaps too much detail for a pleasing to the eye portrait.

I love the composition of this shot. The sloping horizon, lighting variations in the clouds, the contrast and shadow in the foreground. Very nice image!
