Sensual Seductressby basssman7Comment: NIce idea.. bad posing. She looks uncomfortable not passionate. Her shoulder is up near her chin, if you'd posed her with a small pillow under her right shoulder and changed camera positions this might have worked better. |

The Affairby livitupComment: ***Critique Club***
~The Affair~
Hi, This is a very creative idea, and the fork, spooon and knife are well placed. The title explains whats going very well! :)
This might have placed higher with a lighting change. The silverware is sort of hidden by the colours of the background, if you had put a little light on the front of them all it might have brought them out a touch more. The red is harsh while the purple side is very calming. maybe also you should have switched the colour sides to give more emotion to the scene, with the knife sngery red and the couple soothing and passionate in the purple.
HAve fun in future Challenges ! |

Italianby HBunchComment: ***Critique Club***
Hi Heather,
This photo is well thought out, the crop of the fork with spaghetti on it is excellently done. You put just enough on the fork that it didn't take away from it and wound the spaghetti so it looks very well.
The colours look a touch off on the fork. Was it a silver fork? or a stainless steel one? The flatness of it is the only thing I can see that needs improving. Maybe darkening it a touch (not much) would help that. Its possible though if its a Silver fork that this is exactly how it looked.
This photo would easily be sold as stock, and I can see it in a menu or advertisement for a Fine Italian Restaurant.

Maturity - It's in your jeansby AndrewTOComment: ***Critique Club***
"Maturity - It's in your jeans"
First of all congratulations on your top 20 finish!
I read all the comments and have to agree with all but one.
I'd like to see a bit more texture in the photo by enhancing both the highlights and the shadows and leaving the midtones as they are, and the red cast that may be reflected from the condom package minimized.
This photo is excellently composed!
Again Congratulations!! Message edited by HBunch - fixing cc glitch. |

Grown up artby photogenixComment: ****Critique Club****
"Grown up art"
Your photo has a few problems I'd like to address.
1. Lighting - This looks to be all natural light. I would like to see more light highlighting the wall, whether by a reflector or by an additional light source. The wall looks dark and drab with out the additional light. I can see there was some light, as there is a shadow on the lower right hand. The shadow has a tendency, since there is not a specific other place to look, to draw the eye to it.
Using a photo program I'd like to see the texture of the wall brought out more.
2. The wall appears to be curved. I'm not sure if this is teh lens or the actual wall. I would have liked to see the wall more symetrical in the photo with the top equal on each side.
3. The graffiti is something that is more known to be from Teenagers and is not really associated with adults.
Good luck in future challenges. |
