The Flyby mattmungerComment: There's far too much space on the right hand side. The golden tip of the fly is soft. The backdrop is too obviously set up. These are the negative points for me in this photo. The subject is interesting. 5 |

Diamond Plateby pablo1029Comment: Allow me to be blunt. I like the idea of the pattern resulting at the top of the frame coming out of the chaos in the foreground. However, the stray light particularly at the top interferes with this plan, as does the unnecessary light spots all through the shot. Two really negative points for me are the very top left corner, which should really have been cropped out and the black stains, which really should have been cleaned. 4 |

Born to Killby NaldComment: Not a pretty subject. One might argue that guns are 'born to protect'. However, I'll try and put my views on guns aside and see the photo as a photo. There's a very distracting line at the top, and I'm not sure why the right side is clipped. The blue hue helps to bring out the coldness of the metal, but I feel that it's been overdone. Finally, the shadow under the object is not appealing. 4 |

Light Paintingby ShamanComment: I don't know what I'm looking at, but I'm a great fan of this kind of shot. Nicely done. 8 |

..by NazgulComment: The subject is fine, but I can't get the relationship between the that and the human, who seems arbitary. 5 |

copperby messerschmittComment: Not such a bad capture, but obviously staged. Too much for me. Sorry. 4 |

Missile Commandby wanger114Comment: Ilike the idea. But the objects behind are too much in focus and detract from the main frontline subjects. A lower f-stop would have helped. 5 |

Rustby christie3Comment: I don't know if this is intentional or not, but the focal point falls behind the metal, which is a little blurred. Not such a striking subject. 4 |

The Dock of the Bayby arnitComment: Although I like the bridge a lot, I feel that the sky and balancing water are too bland given these particular weather conditions. Reshooting on a different day would result in a more effective shot. This time, I'd have gone for a longer, narrower crop. 5 |
