(I'm making an attempt to explain why I give any photo 3 or less. Obviously I won't like these photos, but DPC is a place to learn a) about what works in this environment and b) about what other individuals think. Please don't be despondant just because I don't like your shot. Rather than that, if your entry scored low, please try and understand one commentor's reasons.)
Aside from the snapshot feeling here, the main reason I scored low was because I don't feel you met the challenge. The camera angle is obviously higher than the players - not exactly 'from the ground up'. Other little quibbles - the standing guy really detracts from the action. There's no action. I know that your title talks of a static position, but sports shots work better when there's action. If you had waited until they actually kicked, the effect would have been much more dramatic.

The boring sky and the choice of focus are the two major reasons I voted low. If the sky had been a beautiful blue one with lots of interesting clouds, the score would be much higher. Also, I feel that the focus needs to be rethought. Usually, out of focus parts push the eye to the in focus bits. Here, your lower stem is more or less sharp, but the flower head is not. Does this symbolise an upward, unknown journey? It might, but the effect is depressing because the colours in the bit we know are very dark.

1/ I'm not sure if I'm looking at a single subject or a single scene. The title says 'machine' or something like that, but what stands out more are the backing, the ventilator and the overall scene elements.
2/ There's a slightly out of focus feeling on the tip of the machine whereas the corrigated metal is sharper. This makes the photograph uncomfortable for me.
3/ There's dark and light, but I'm not convinced about the placings of either for any particular reason. Overall, (unless I've missed something) I feel that this photo is a collection of unconnected bits rather than a coherent whole.

1/ I don't feel that you've met the challenge. True, these grapes might be near the ground, but I don't know. More than that, I don't feel that there's a necessary connection to the ground in this shot.
2/ I like the dof, the off-centre presentation and the backdrop. I don't like the overblown sky.
3/ Overall, I feel that the whole shot is just, well, too ordinary to bother capturing the moment forever in a photograph. That's just my opinion, of course.

You've met the challenge topic. But the lack of perspective control is off-putting. I don't think that we're allowed to change perspective in PS in basic editing. In this case, shoot a much wider area and crop. Your title doesn't work for me as it implies a building of many floors. This present building is rather smaller. Finally, and the biggest reason my score for this was a 3, it don't get any sense of wonder, amusement, intrigue or enjoyment. It seems that you've just taken a photo of a building from the ground without much thought about how interesting the final photograph might be.

This is a touch boring for me as a subject. Yes, you meet the challenge, but there's nothing special about the subject, nor have you tried to make the subject into something special. The lack of focus in the bottom part doesn't have a reason. Often the out of focus part leads our eye to the main subject, but this one is all very much the same. Indeed, my eye is taken to the top of a pipe and left there, hanging. The sky colour isn't very vivid. The wood is done very nicely. I can see an attempt to make the strong lines interesting, but overall, I'm not really drawn to this photo.

Very nice idea, but you need to calibrate your monitor to reflect the true colours of your house.

Nice idea, but I think that for this time, a centred composition would have worked better.

If that weren't so obviously tomato ketchup and there wasn't the waterfront (?) spilling out on the right, this would have been a great shot conceptually. 5
