Rooftop Rhythm

Nice job! I know your intent was the rooftop, but there are obviously patterns below the roof as well. I think changing the angle just slightly to remove the eaves in the upper left, and bring the weather vane on the left to the top, would bring in some more visiual interest. We would still the rooftop, but there would be more.

Very simple pattern, but quite pleasing. I like that the shadow is what I see first, and then the same pattern in the railings (which makes sense). My point is, by seeing the shadow first, there is a sense of peace about this shot. I feel at ease when I see it.

I actually find the colors to be too subtle. I would be willing to bet that people will mention the wrinkles and folds in the fabric. I like it, they add a dimension to the shot. If they weren't there, you'd have a shot of a placemat.

Other than the flying and they are all seagulls, I don't find a pattern here. Sorry. I do like the coloring of the sky and the silhouette of the birds.

I like the fact that the shadows actually elongate and accentuate the patterns on the stairs. It adds a different dimension.
