Induction Centreby C_Steve_GComment: This is just me, but I would have liked to see the entire circle (chrome one), not just a portion. The concentric circles are a pattern as well as the "blades." |

roof tilesby shaundpComment: For me, this one is sort of the opposite of patterns. It is the break in the patterns that attract my attention...the damage vs. the non-damage. |

Stripes are funby Kwilson10Comment: You know, I think I would have found as many clothing items as I could with stripes. And then either neatly folded everything or just jumbled them together. This shot is rather blah! But stripes are fun, so have some fun ;) |

Beach Hutsby marboComment: Very cute. Wish it weren't winter and the grass was greener. But you can't control that. |

Diagonal Linesby mfzComment: WOW!!!! This shot is head's and shoulders above the rest of the field in technique and presentation. The colors are brilliant, the focus is spot on, there is no drift. Everything that is here, is here for a reason. I would suggest tilting the other direction. Trick the eye into following gravity to hint at more speed. My biggest problem, is this a pattern? Is a diagonal line a pattern, not in the geometric sense, but this isn't about geometetry. Is the car a pattern, in the abstract...yes, but this shot is certainly not an abstract. The wheels are a pattern, but they are obviously not the subject. I am so confused about what to do with this. It most certainly does not deserve DNMC, because intrepretation is loose and vague, but is this a 10 (technically, absolutely)? |

another whole in the wallby mmaltoComment: My only issue is the lighting/shading. This was taken with natural light...thank you, but the time of day has caused a shadow to become reflected in the glass. So, if that was your intent, yeah! But it is not to my liking. |

Old St Pauls Cathedralby jasonmccarthyComment: This is the sort of shot I would expect to see on a postcard. Better than a snapshot, but not quite framed art quality...this is not a criticism, just an observation. |

Nature Patternsby DrakeComment: I've never seen a moth like this before. The defensive coloring on the wings is gorgeous (go nature!). The symmetry of shot is really nice. The background colors seem blown out, but other than that, good job. |

Saturdayby pineappleComment: This is a nice representation of the challenge. The lighting is wonderful. You've captured the essence of the lazy day. The patterns are engaging. This simple, elegant, refined and yet not out of reach of the ordinary person. |
