Polar Bearby bevilllComment: Actually kind of fun, I personally like the hint of the warm yellow in the lemon. As it is a primary, it sets off the blue and adds more punch to it. You might be able to crop more of the dead space at the top. |

Cool Spash of Berryby mtbdaveComment: I'll admit freely, that this one is difficult for me. Red is actually a warm color, no matter how deep that red is. Same with pink (in the splash zone.) So I started looking for the cool color...I am hoping that this is not DNMC. That brings me to the ever controversial BLACK, neutral, warm or cool, it is all things depending on who you talk to and what color wheel you choose to use. But I am using the accepted painters/fashion wheel that dictates black as a neutral. I know that scientifically, black is all colors combined so it can go anywhere. I also know that some photographers will argue that black occurs with an absense of light, therefore it is nothing.
So, long story short, I have to be consistent in my voting/commenting. So I will have to go with DNMC, but I did try to see your side of it, I really did.
But good news to you...I am always consistent which means that I do vote on the merits of the shot first, then subtract a point for what I consider a DNMC (I am not a 1 troll...yeah for you!) |

A Rose in Blueby cptpolandComment: This is actually pretty stunning. Well done (I'm assuming this was done with editing, as I don't think they've actually created a blue rose yet...at least not this blue.) |

Something Coolby O'HolleranComment: If you could have shot this against any other cool color background, you would have achieved a much deeper dimension to this. The white is actually muting the colors of the stones. After the challenge, play with your RAW and see if using purple/lavender, cool green or a royal blue in the background changes the impact. |

Memories of Past Membersby JudiComment: I'm so new here, I don't see the homage, but that is me. This picture has an impact, for me, not based on how you got the idea; but because the idea is simple. |

dropletby MoramarthComment: Very pretty. The differeing hues of the blues added with just a touch of the warm red & yellow, makes this very pleasing to the eye. |

Cool Beautyby tamatamaComment: Peacocks in full glory! Beautiful site and one that isn't seen all that often. So many times I come across the peacock with tail fully down or just partially up. |
