Have your heard this more than you care too? taken a shot like this requires a steady hand, a fast lens and lots of light. that you did this well is great! if you had been able to take this shot more from the front( I see that is where the light is coming from) you might have managed a better freeze on the action. nice try:) hope I helped. 5

More of the horse and rider would have punched up this shot. I see the light was coming in from the left. would have been nice to have caught more of the light hitting the horse to help set it and the rider off. the light coming in overthe grand stand is a bit harsh and washed out part of the image as well. I may have said to much, but know I still think this image has merit and is a fresh shot for the sport challenge. 6

This was just "BAM" to me. I love this shot. you located the young man so well, his clothing is a nice contrast to the rest of the image. Your use of B&W and the overall tone was just a part of all that works for me. The DOF, again was also done very well. I may not do the best job taken shots but I think I know when I see when someone else has. 10...10...10!
