Continuing the comments, I can take or leave most borders. I'm looking at the photograph much more. After looking at the outtakes I'd say you chose correctly. The one you chose you can see where the car is going. If you look in magazines, you will see more like your entry.

I'm gonna have to play around with this some. Though I don't have anywhere close to the amount of zoom I would need to pull it off as well. I still wonder why you didn't pre-submit the validation rather than waiting for it to happen when you posted the picture. I'm betting that would have helped the score a good bit. I've noticed that people vote down a suspected fake even if they submit it for validation.

This is a link to the original file stored in my workshop. Basic Editing rules applied. Can you do it better?

So that really works? I've heard smiling at the chimps will make them smile. I'll have to try that when I visit the zoo next. Of course, that isn't a chimp. I don't even know what kind of animals are at the local zoo. Was it a closed lip smile or did you show your teeth?

The gradient border is an interesting idea, but makes the picture look like a button. The Blimp while having great detail doesn't have anywhere to go in the frame, so it looks cramped. The gradient doesn't help that. If you could have cropped so the blimp is in the upper right thirds point it would look great.

Cropping this closer on the right would have been good. It leaves more space for the boat to motor into. I would have thought about cloning out the dark buoy just below the horizon.

Up close and personal. I may have tried to get a little wider shot on the head. Color, texture, and focus are all good, though a shallower DOF may have been nice.

Good use of leading lines. Though I want to see this in color, I envision it industrial green with some rust along the lower edge. I probably would have cloned out the power lines and power poles.

I understand keeping the crop close, but the way the shot it laid out, the chair is too close to the top of the frame. Angeling up the camera a bit would have remedied it, and would have provided room for the 'fisherman' to sit. The Choice of B&W works well because what you are after is the texture of the dock.
