Ice into Waterby tivoComment: This is a fairly common type of shot but you executed it well. Great backlighting. Very interesting splash. I like the diagonal of the water. |

cocktails anyone??by cmillerComment: Interesting subject but the lighting is much too dark for me. Would have been nice with strong backlighting or at least a bright light to catch the colors and reflect a sparkle. |

Jack Frostby jjsmomComment: I can't quite make out what this is and the pattern isn't sharp enough to create interest. greens and pinks are interesting but not enough to make me want to ponder it. |

Wisdom toothless icequeenby bart_vbComment: Very creative interpretation of the theme. I'm not sure about the composition... did you mean to catch her eating with her tongue out or was this just a snapshot. How about a font and center composition highlighting some puffy cheeks with a wind angle, surrounded by the ice pack? That might have emphasized the wisdom teeth and the soreness that goes with it. |

POLAR ICE !by sigfussonComment: I like it that the subject is black and unlit while the background is lit... gives it twice the interest. Very nice lighting. |

Frozen In Timeby david1707Comment: Wow! Beautiful scene. Where the heck is it? It looks like a beautiful and historic place (none of that in my neighborhood)! I like the coldness of the background with the warm foreground. The castle is a little too centered for me, maybe up and to the left just to offset. It seems a little blurred but maybe that's my monitor. |

Breakaway Enforcerby hahn23Comment: This one makes me happy... reminds me of many childhood pond hockey games. I like it that everyone is in "play" clothes and that the youngest boy's tongue is out, showing he's struggling to keep up with the big boys. I like it that your subject is people, not just ice. Maybe a closer crop to zoom in on the expressions, but then again you would have lost the feel of the threesome. Maybe a simpler background or out of focus background to simplify and focus on the expressions. Nicely done! |

Make me cold!!!!!by atitedescoComment: Interesting splash. Looks highly processed, either contrast, saturation or sharpness. I like the blue light behind the glass. A bit contrived. |

Frozen Landscapeby remarshComment: Wow! What a scene! Beautiful subject. Nice composition by putting the tree offcenter. Interesting lines in the picture. I like how the trees in the background fad out and there's a hint of a silo, all shrouded by snowfall or fog or cold atmosphere. Minimal color emphasizes the simplicity of the beautiful scene. |
