To love myself again...by EmerauldeComment: wow. A very brave photo here. This takes an incredible amount of self-confidence to do. If you ask me if you can do something like this then you might be happier with who you are then you might think! Bravo to you, for doing this! Very good composition, a clear message, some slight blur though, and the lighting seems a touch harsh! Message edited by author 2004-01-14 00:14:35. |

Full Sailby ShinenliteComment: The shot seems out of focus. If you intended for this, I don't understand the artistry behind it. If not, did you use a tripod!? A nice composition though, and beautiful colors. Straighten up the horizon though, and use a little neat image to get rid of the noise! |

Anastasiaby nbortonComment: Much to heavy on the neat image here, and if that was intentional I don't understand the statement. A nice potrait otherwise, well lit, a nice subject, well positioned everything. You have a definite talent as a potrait photographer, just tone down the neat image. WAY down. |

looking for bugsby ursulaComment: I thought you should've placed much higher with this shot Ursula. I gave it a 10 personally. I love the colors in the shot, they are just so appealing. As is the composition. Seems people knocked you down for it not being a 'traditional' macro shot. Congratulations on a fantastic shot!
P.S. I have a feeling this might sell well on DPCprints! Message edited by author 2003-12-30 20:51:54. |

Arrested Development. On The Edge of Punk.by Evil_MunkyComment: Awesome shot, I love it. Lighting is well done, composition excellent, follows the challenge perfectly. This also looks more deeply into the challenge, and has a very artistic element to it. You really managed to create a clear line through the girl. Well done, very well done! Very creative. 10 |

Layersby SkamalComment: This shot screams black and white too me! The colors only distract from the illusion of the shot. B&W would emphasize what you are trying to demonstrate in the photo! A nice composition nonethless, it fits the challenge, and fulfills one large requirement of photography very well - make the viewer look at something in a different way then normal! Well done! Love to see this in B&W after the challenge is over. Nonetheless 8 from me! |

The Edge of Tranquilityby ltl_quailComment: exceptional! A beautiful shot. A little unconventional for the challenge, but fitting nonetheless. You may lose votes from that, but not from me. A wonderful composition, really gives me the feeling of the beauty of a moving river, and what lays around and within. The muted colors are wonderful, and the exposure seems well done. Perhaps a little lighter, but i don't even know about that! Well done, 10 from me! |

On the edge of a Gin & Tonic by jonpinkComment: very well taken shot, very well taken. COlor is fantastic, as is the lighting. Looks fantastic on the black background. Would've been cool to include some of the green and yellow into the border, that just ties it all together. A nice composition, unfortunately it may be lost to many folks as it's a little unconventional for the challenge. Or maybe that's just me! 9 from me! |
