good idea. I think it would have worked fine without the star filter. exposure is pretty uneven, with the glare on the handcuff being the most obvious overexposure.

I like the wide shot here, reducing the subject to something smaller. The plain sterile setting is interesting since it seems to be anything but restful for the subject, indictaing to me that she's having a fitful rest. I like the natural lighting, but it's pretty harshly overexposed on the right.

this shot has some nice elements to it, even if they are somewhat cliche. I like the way the sun radiates from the center of the top of the mast and the way the man is in partial silouette. I wish he was more off to the side and not occluding the boat. I also don't care for the flare on his back.

flipping the image 180 degrees was a creative choice. I think the shot could have been improved by cropping the bottom of the frame (the top of the starirs) where the computer monitor is.

cute puppy, but the focus is soft, the lighting is flat, tones are too gray and the overall composition is relatively dull. Don't take this too harshly, just go out and take more shots of him to work on your technique. I recommend shotting lots - I regret not having done that with my dog. He was so small for such a short time and now is a 90 lb monster.

clever and different. I like the composition but not the lighting. The shadows are very harsh and a significant portion of the frame at the top is in shadow. I think this could work when setting a different mood, but it doesn't do it for me here.

I like the pose with the ears flopping over at a jaunty angle and the relaxed look of the legs crossed. The right arm outstretched looks like he is inviting companionship. nice job making an inanimate object look relaxed and rested. I don't care for your choice of frame - I think a simple white border or no border would have worked better - just a comment. I don't vote on the frame, but it does hurt the image.

I like the tight cropping but not the color choice here. It leaves me cold. a gentle sleeping baby should give a warmer feeling. There are nice abstract qualities to the baby's face established by zooming in so close and I think you've captured them well, but that color cast hurts the shot for me.

would have been more interesting without the cluttered background. I don't think a natural, outdoor setting is important to focus on when you could have filled the frame with the tools.

Kudos for coming up with a more imaginative pose and setting for a resting dog than did many others. I like the way you framed the dog and I like the monchrome choice. It look too red to me, but I'm colorblind, so take that with a grain of salt if it isn't red, but more sepia.
