I think your border is way too big. The area of the border seems to be almost as large as the photo itself. everything also seems to be out of balance. sorry, I really don't like this.

Thanks. I think people used to the Zoo close-up shots of the animals do not appreciate how really fortunate I was to get this shot. Knowing how people vote on this site I really didn't expect much though... I do these challenges just for myself, I don't really care about the score too much. I appreciate the kind words and critiques though.
I too see the same people from here on other sites from time to time... :) I think I've seen you on dyxum.com. I don't think I'll be visiting that site too much now, since I don't have any Minolta/Sony stuff anymore... :)

this works quite well. I like the deep blue and the composition. The one out of focus blade of grass is a bit annoying though, as well as the dark blue streak on the left...

sorry, but the finger ruins it all for me. I would have preffered some kind of natural element, such as a stick, stone, or blades of grass to be in focus in the foreground.

this picture has very nice feel and colors, however, the branch in the upper right is a bit distracting. I think this picture would work so much better without that element.
