Your image does project a suitably "depressed" tone, but I don't necessarily see "I quit" in the image. You might be able to improve the image by shifting the camera to the right to provide more negative space for the model to look wistfully into.

I'm not sure I'd pick up on the "I quit" theme without the caption. I'd also question whether the letterbox framing effect adds to the overall picture.

Wow ... I must admit I'm a little shocked. I was hoping to score in the high 5s, a nice, measured, improvement over my previous entries. Instead, this score pretty much blows away my previous personal best. That alone was far more than I was expecting for this image; to win a ribbon---icing on the cake.

The only problem is, I've now set a very difficult bar for myself to surpass in the future...

While I can see some left-right symmetries in the sign, I'll add to all the people who have undoubtably pointed out that "4141" is an odd number.

The building provides an interesting collection of horizontal and vertical lines in this image, but I'm not sure the collection of them works. For me, the focal point of the image is the sign; I can't see what is added by this particular crop of the building.

The raindrops on the lens are unfortunate. I'm not sure what the "six cadets" and largely empty foreground add to the image; I might have tried a crop on the sky and double rainbow only. The colours in the rainbow also seem a little dull.
