liquidifyby setechaComment: I cannot tell what this is -- something melting, presumably, but I can't tell if despite the colour it's water (that does rather look like rock salt) or what. This makes it hard to judge how on topic it is ("not water").
In terms of the setup, I think the blue-to-white like a wave-to-foam thing is a neat idea, though. |

flamable liquidby timboydwhiteComment: Hah, excellent idea. Unfortunately, this more concentrates on the gaseous element than the liqiud one, but I will concede it is not OFF-topic.
I think a bit more focus on the glass and flame would have been better. You could have set it up so the lighter fluid container was still partially visible and let us realize what it was; giving it equal time detracts a bit. Maybe by setting it back a few inches and moving the angle slightly? |

Red and Yellowby Chilly0999Comment: Mustard and ketchup, one presumes? How long did it take you to set this up? You have far more dedication than I do. :)
It's a very neat idea. Er, make that a very messy one. Er. You know. I hope. The whole shot concentrates on the liquid, which has been unusual this round, so that's a plus. I'm not a big fan of abstracty stuff, which this is, but that's personal taste and you can't really account for that. |

Iced Cap chillin at the beachby DCThiessenComment: It just seems out of place, unfortunately. It's one of those things where I like the hsot of the water and hills (though it's a bit bright to the left) and I like the closeup of the cup in the grass but when you put the two together it doesn't work for me, kinda like I like potatoes and I like mayonnaise but I hate potato salad. |

Liquid Ecstacyby dgaldeenComment: Inasmuch as I like the lighting and the glowy effect, I'm not convinced this is not water. |

Yoo-Hoo!by Dallas_TXComment: Mmm. Chocolatey waterfall....
Well, the lighting seems a little bright but I actually like the pattern it makes in the liquid, so only a 'little' bright. I like the framing. The background is very slightly distracting but I don't know you could have done much with that. |

Miracle in a Bottle -- Liquid Paperby karmatComment: I don't really care for the hang-in-mid-air feel the shot gives off -- I presume you shot up through glass. Possibly without the cap/applicator it would have not felt so vertiginous. The lighting being de-emphasized on the liquid paper spill from the bottom also detracts a bit as it makes it a rather darkish shade of grey instead of the white I'm used to. The idea is sound, it's the specific excecution I'm having some trouble with. |

Spilled Liquidby AlexanderComment: The crusties on the bottle are a little unappetizing but overall it's a solid topic-meeting shot. I like the spread of the moisture (or oil?) through what I'm presuming is a paper or thin cloth that the liquid is spilled on, helps with the feel of 'liquid'. |

Sizzling Butterby StevePaxComment: Butter. Butter. ParKAAAAY. No, it looks like actual butter. Interesting idea. Good dark/light balance in terms of subject matter; maybe a touch bright in terms of lighting but not distractingly so. |
