Hopeby littlegettComment: The subject is captured nicely with an interesting mix of shades from the reflection. The entering shadow line on the background, left of the string, is very slightly distracting to me relative to the string (just to nit-pick :).
I would bet good money that you are getting a DNMC vote or two, so good luck with that. It's a solid picture (and that surface is indeed reflective) so I hope you do well. |

In Chase Of Sunsetby remboComment: I love the saturation of the reflected colors. It really draws attention to that reflective surface in the spirit of the challenge. I wonder what it would have looked like with the wheel turned more to the right (just imagining, not a criticism). |

Kiss Meby ZeppKashComment: Cool picture. The bubbles are a bit too much for me, particularly given the overall brightness of the frame. I'm very curious about how you composed this shot. |

Puddle Crossingby njsabsComment: I like this. It brought brought to mind eyewave's A Stroll Under The Rainbow:
Different umbrella & composition I know, but I was just looking at that shot recently, so the rainbow umbrella struck me. |

When I Look at You, I See What I Want to Beby karmatComment: I like your creative and insightful interpretation. It's the sort of idea that may get some DNMCs, but sometimes I do wish dpc had more people that took the creative part of the challenge as seriously as the photography part of the challenge. I think you might have satisfied potential DNMCs with this same concept if you had placed the models on either side of a glass door (using the reflection to add a layer of interest) or if you had included a literal reflection of the subjects somewhere in the composition.
On the photo side, the whites on much of the adult subject's garment are over exposed and the shaddow/vignetting on the left is distracting for me.
Nice contribution to the creative interpretation side. |

Reflecting on Classic Moviesby boyd2000Comment: Nice color and creative concept. Some of the light is harsh, obviously difficult to avoid and I wonder if it might have had more punch with either a tighter crop or another row of discs to fill the frame. Great overall effect. |

Ahoy!by Mike_AdamsComment: This is among my favorites and I love the lines & contrast. The depressed keys are slightly distracting to me and I wonder what it would have looked like if you had put a weight on those keys under the lid to keep them up. |

here comes the airplaaaaaneby krnodilComment: Great interpretation. The shadows are a bit strong for me and the DOF on the shallow side. My first reaction to the composition was to wish that you had included more of the person holding the spoon. After a few moments I warmed up to the subtle impled connection (we all know what's going on off frame) and the strength of the child's POV. Nice placement of the spoon. |

My Doll and My Blanket, For As Long As I Can Rememberby scarbrdComment: Ah, this is the sort of composition I immediately thought of when I was considering this challenge (but didn't have time to do). I'm surprised there are not more like this. The top right background is distracting to me, but you deserve a bonus points for such an overall warm, sentimental, and honest composition. I hope you do well. |
