I would think that someone really successful would have this baby shining without flaw. Looks a bit tarnished to me. Crop could have been better.

I am not sure what white petals you speak of here. I have never seen a 'Hou bush', on Kaua`i, with white petaled flowers. I might be just you in this instance.

Hou is the name of the bush/flower and I like word play because it causes one to think a bit and look words up if there is a question.

Hibiscus tiliaceus is grown throughout the tropics mainly as an ornamental tree for landscaping, as it is very ornamental, with its large heart-shaped leaves and dense foliage.
