Eyes On The Prizeby
OldCoyoteComment: Wow! 7th from last... at least not another brown ribbon. (Woulda been my 2nd in as many months.) What a bunch of comments, WOW, from "GOOOOO!" to "...here's your 1!" So, no apologies. This is still a learning curve. Yeah, I know, DNMC, right? But I
had to go with this shot. It captured the moment for me... 18,000 people at a
highly energized Obama '08 Rally!!! Bright television lights and flashes firing constantly. Carolyn Kennedy was there, even! But I'm drifting off topic. Point is, I was fully-zoomed, and hand-held at 1/30th sec. Sharp enough pour moi. I captured the glare, the lights, the action, the energy. I
was THERE, "dude!" (No, not a TV screen capture, um, duh...) Sure, I could've pumped up the volume, added contrast, yada yada, but I captured a moment as I experienced it. Outside the clunky box. Not within the lines. Not so into scores and competition that it matters. Just trying out different things. And, yes, per a recent thread, it's not about being clever or catchy titles at dpc... it's about the
photo challenge. I still say there's room for artsy fartsy... and a play on words, i.e., "The Eyes Have It!" = "The Ayes Have It!" as in winning an election... Barack's got his eyes on "the prize" and all 36,000 eyes were on him that warm night. ("Whatever, dude," right?) So, Ladies and Gentlemen, you're looking at the next great President of the USA! It's
time for a change! We CAN DO BETTER and we will!
Peace now!! Let's restore this country to the shining example of goodness and kindness and love for our fellow man that we can and should be. Ranting here? Oh, 'scuse please. I'll step down from my soapbox now. Whatever you do, get out there and VOTE... right? Peace & Love -- Coyote. Sweet dreams.
