Leafby AmasonComment: ah.. standing tall. interesting concept. like how the leaf points to the diagonal. bit grainy in the shadows. just the mere fact that this is tetering on the stem makes it dynamic. |

Red Roseby TLL061Comment: very well done. the textures and clarity are terrific. I don't, however, really like the green upper left and the white upper right corners. I wonder if the green, esp., could have been eliminated. |

Sunflowerby belleinsoucianteComment: there seems to have been more light on the smaller flowers giving them more contrast, than on the subject. the grays are too muddy to actually bring this flower alive. a bit more light perhaps, or bring up the levels a bit in post. |

In the Creekby JeileenComment: interesting shot. a bit too much blue (or maybe magenta making it more purple) in the shadows though. |

a new hopeby PhileineComment: I think the levels of blue are too high in the shadows. - you can even see where the green would be crisper without it.
otherwise a simple negative space effect, but I am left wondering where the wow factor is. could have some usefulness as a stock photo - perhaps.

Waterfallby RudyC310Comment: interesting! I love the splash of water. brings the whole image to life. another way of "showing what the subject does/can do". I love that in photos.
dof is a bit small, as the leaf with water coming off could be a bit clearer, however, the effect you have achieved works.

Reach for the sky by smokeditorComment: My first time voting in a few months! :)
beautiful lighting. good composition too, right down to the choice of vase shape.
I think the 'wow' factor for me is mostly in the warm glow that reflects the feeling one gets when there is something alive and green around them.
technically good as well.

Slick!by GeneralEComment: Paul, this is really cool too. I scored it fairly high during voting during the challenge.
Just had another thought...
Did you try to rotate it CW a bit, to give a bit of a slant to the composition? |
