Very good. Colours seem a touch on the faded side I must say (maybe saturation could go up a bit? I don't think the lighting helps) and this is probably just a touch over-sharpened. Otherwise excellent.

A lovely mess of subtle tones and bokeh. Well composed. However I don't think many people are going to 'get it'. I suppose the pencil is helping the growth of the plant? Still, you get high marks from me for producing a real bit of photography in a challenge that almost seems designed to remove any artistic flair, emotion or individualism.

Nice use of depth of field, the pencil has a nice perspective to it. Lighting a little on the harsh side perhaps and the figure doesn't really blend in the with the background as well as he might.

I'm slightly confused by your title, presumably there aren't that many places in bright sunlight at two in the morning?! The idea is an interesting one but I'm not convinced by it andI tihnk the focus is a little off as well (the 1 seems sharper than the pencil).

Not a bad idea by any stretch but I think it could have been better executed - the pencil seems totally disconnected from the bush so the effect is lost.
