In the Fogby GeeeComment: Fog always tricks the camera. Though the mood presented here is probably what you were trying for I think the image would have more pop if it were exposed a little more. The fog has been rendered as neutral grey rather than closer to white. |

Rocks and Rocksby EducatedSavageComment: Yes, the DOF is shallow. You got it. However, the in focus rocks blend with the background. The idea with shallow DOF is to use it to isolate the main subject. With the colours being very similar the rocks aren't really isolated from the background. |

Fruit Fiesta by GiorgioComment: Lovely lighting and perfect choice of DOF. There's just enough definition in the background to give context to the image. The water (glycerin) drops don't hurt either. |

Comparisonby CamabsComment: Even though the stem of the apple is very sharp, orange, being a stronger colour, draws the eye away. Also, with slightly more DOF would give more definition to the background and more context to the image. |

Backpackerby hanaeComment: I like the idea though I think the person takes up too much room in the frame. I think a wider angle shot would have more impact. |

The Bibleby mehrandj7Comment: Good idea though I think a little more DOF would allow the front bible to be entirely in focus and would add more punch to the image. |

Simplicityby aberrationComment: I like the idea however the middle leaf is not entirely in focus which I think would add punch to the image. |

Fallen Leafby VuurVliegieComment: Nice colours. I think just slightly more DOF would allow you to get the leaf in sharper focus and create an image with more punch. |

Piss Offby zanobiniComment: Though the bird is nicely isolated I feel that the focus is a bit soft and the placement is too far to the left. A little deeper DOF and a bit more space in front of the bird I think would improve the image. Also, including the feet. |
