Beautiful Freakby GedsComment: This tree looks like it's been through the lightning wars. Great natural shot. It's too bad the clouds have very little detail though the yellow on the ground carries this image. Maybe showing a touch more of the ground would give the image more impact. 7 |

Going Up? by dsidwellComment: There's nothing I can think of that would improve this image. The corner line leads the viewer up and up and up and the yellow just give this image a ton of impact. Great capture. 10 |

Backyard Buddyby karmatComment: I like the amount of zoom you chose here. You captured alot of detail and I believe has more appeal than just a picture of a moth. What might of helped is just a slight different vantage point to show more of the face.
If I could have voted I probably would have given it a 7 or 8. |

Buzz around the bushby pinky303Comment: Appears to be a good use of DOF but the picture is way too small. (probably the umpteenth comment on size, sorry) |

treebarkby sulamkComment: The bottom right looks like a hedgehog. The texture captured in the bottom third is well done but the bright spot in the top third is distracting. Even if this were cropped out the image would probably still be balanced. The curved line in the middle is a nice touch. |

spyby dc broughtonComment: Your main subject is very sharp and captures the viewer's attention immediately but the light coloured leaf on the left is distracting. Cropping it out would probably balance the image better. |

It's my Garden Shelterby RebTheRebelComment: The water pump in your image has a lot of character. The watering cans in the foreground take away from this. Did you try shots of just the water pump? Sepia or B/W could probably be used quite affectively here. |

Standing Guardby tgrlilyComment: You've picked a difficult situation to photograph, black subject in very bright light. In order to capture enough detail in the dog you need to expose a little bit more but in doing so you would blow out the bright areas which are already somewhat overexposed. To try and correct this you might try using a diffuser. |

At Holden Arboretunby STEINRComment: The leading line of the waterfall and the curved edges of the pond project a nice relaxed mood.
There seems to be a colour cast (magenta?) on this image. In camera I couldn't tell you how to fix this other than play with the white balance. In post processing you could adjust the colour balance slightly more towards green (opposite of magenta). |
