Dunes at Nightby karmatComment: sugar grains?
The details on the grains look strange to me. Might be the resolution and the way you've sharpened it. |

Curtis Fallsby surfdabblerComment: I think this photo is great and fully deserves the score it got (even if I did bend the rules to let you in ;-) )
The details are lovely and soft on the water and I do like the way the light falls on the pic, especially on the leaves behind the waterfall.
I also like the waterfall itself, a nice slow shutter speed giving that silky effect. Great work! |

Bby VenomComment: Believe me when I say I didn't put us in the same group on purpose knowing we had pretty much the same subject matter in our shots. Coincidence, honest :-)
Actually I think that's a good thing when commenting on each other's pics as we both know what the other went through to get the shot. Looks like you had more time on your hands than me ;-) (650 shots? Wow)
The composition on yours is excellent, and I love the bokeh you got behind the bee. The focus is pretty good on the bee. The flowers aren't very sharp on the right but I know how tricky it is to get shots of these fellas so I won't complain too loudly.
Great work! |

No Fog in Sightby Moose408Comment: I tend to agree with surfdabbler that you need to choose one subject or the other in this shot and for me it's the lighthouse. Perhaps if you'd stood the other side of the log?
The blue of the sky is magnificent and although the lighthouse isn't particularly sharp, I agree with surfdabbler that it's nothing a little sharpening won't solve. I like the composition of the lighthouse as well - centred compositions aren't trendy at DPC (apart from in this week's challenge lol) but I quite like them. |

Just Thinkin'by karmatComment: I like this very much. From your wonderful letter Kristiana seems to be a bundle of energy, always getting into mischief (am I close?) Which makes this lovely serene calm shot a nice contrast.
The details on the skin are soft, and the lighting on her face is perfect. I like the high key effect, it works very well for me :-) |
