Even without the different colored petal, this photo is rare. Such crispness on every plane of the flower.. such beautiful rich whites that hold detail and still glow and then the finishing touch, a stalk for it to continue it's life cycle. Brilliant. 8

Variations of this photo have been done many times but you did it well. The flower is not growing out of a sidewalk - it may or may-not have been placed in the crevice of the wall but I want to believe that it is growing there... defying all odds and thriving in spite of it's inadequate food source, the rich soil a rose demands. You sold me..I am giving it an 8

There is so much to see in such a simple photo. Living at the beach I am always excited when I come across sand that has no sign of the human presence and this photo exemplifies why that is.

This photo fascinated me. How to get a b/g that is devoid of color except for the people. Beyond my abilities for sure. The saffron gold color of the Monks dress makes him the focal point in this shot and it fits the challenge perfectly. Photographer Nemaste. 9

Seriously sick of strawberries...

Grin, so am I... sick of strawberries ... especially freezer jam..whatever happened to people who knew how to make good old fashioned jam?
However, I digress.
This is a technically perfect shot.. crisp focus, wonderful black b/g to make it pop and the red of the berry just begs me to change my mind and go back to eating strawberries. An 8 from me.
