Wow. An inviting portrait with some real vibrant colors to it. mostly centered, but askew some. Lighting looks like a reflector on the right side adding some real nice brightness to her face. DOF is perfect too. The only thing I don't like is the way that hat sits on her head. Very unnatural feel as to not mess her hair up for posing in the 'Love the Blue Bonnets' photo. I'm looking at a great portrait. Well done.

Grainy old age photo. Lines of the stairwell are nice and the window adds to the focusing point. But not sure what exactly the subject is here. The cross on the window, the stairs or the window. Needs definition but a good staring point.

The single source lightin really doesn't add anything to the mood, IMO. Crop all that black border out since it really doesn;t help the photo any. I like the idea behind it, but needs a little work to make it GReat. A good start though.

Great idea leading the eye through the center of the photo like that. If you want to make it a GREAT phot: add a person walking to tell a story, fix the focus to be perfectly crisp and get rid of some of that sky. I would find a place where the trees are scattered out a bit more to make it less complex and your time to take a great shot like this is either EARLY morning or DUSK. You are onto something very good here though. Keep it up.
