Just Lookingby BlinksComment: Ends up being a smidge busy because of the carpet- at the same time the carpet helps make the shot more interesting. Nice of him to leave his tail still long enough to get the shot. :) |

Dog draws accidental "S" for Sand.by MontereykiddoComment: This is a great pet portrait as well as a nice accidental letter. :) The dog obviously had a great time. I like the sparkle in his eye. What settings were you using in camera? JPEG, WB etc? |

WWll Officer's Quarters..Abandonedby bjallenComment: I love the aspect ratio you chose here. The shot itself is okay, mid day light is pretty harsh, and really doesn't tell me much of a story on the buildings. But the crop just draws me into the shot. |

Safe At Homeby eaglebeckComment: I like the crop and the action. My biggest concern with this image would be the overall clutter in the shot. Nothing is really isolated out here. With the ump right on top of the play the motion is interrupted. See how he basically creates a vertical line that stops the horizontal slide? And the batter on deck isn't really adding. Because he's just standing stationary you don't get a feeling that the play was at all close. As you continue with sports photography- look for one element to focus on. Maybe look to get the reaction from the guy on deck. IS he jumping around or what? Wait for the ump to call the play safe or out before snapping. You just need something else to pop this shot up a level. So was the guy safe or not? And if he was- was he playing for your team? :) |

Against the Wave by max90034Comment: Aersome surfing shot! These shots are really hard to expose for, because you can lose detail in the shadow areas. The face is still a tad dark, but you can make it out. Very nicely done! 7 |
