Not sure if maternity is a sense. It is like a stage in a woman's life, right? A sense to me sounds more like an abstract feeling. I may be ignorant about it and totally wrong. But, just expressing what I think.

Great choice for the challenge. Good job on freezing the action. The only thing is that the harsh light was not in your favor. There is too much of blow-out highlights on the water portion.

Good fit for the challenge. Cure expression from the kid. I can see how this relates to the title. Great. I think the blue water portion at the bottom of the frame is too much. I would have cropped some more at the bottom to show more of the people and some water around the kid.

sensing trouble

Title of your image and the shot itself goes very well with this challenge. What did not work well here is the lighting, background and the overall colors. The shot looks more like a snapshot of two dogs playing, that is found to be a fit for this challenge. The background looks cluttered. The lighting seems to have been from the built-in flash, which is right on the face of the two dogs, which is not really pleasing or flattering. Overall a timely capture that suits the challenge and title. Good luck!

I would have thought about choosing a relatively shorter title. This kind of gives a feeling that you are trying to convince the voters how this is meeting is the challenge and not a force-fit.
