This shot has the appearance of a snapshot rather than a challenge entry. I think that when the challenge is over and the shot details are presented it will show that it was taken from a great distance with a long lens. I suspect that it was taken handheld, which I suspect is why it appears slightly shakey.

I am not entirely sure what was intended to be the main subject in this shot. Perhaps it was the pin, perhaps the thimble. Part of the thimble is in focus along with the pin and this is where I am unsure.

No doubt you probably tossed up whether or not to keep the colour in cameramans shirt label. IMO just the colour in the main subject would have been great. The cameraman stands out without the small bit of colour you have kept as he is the only one in shot without a uniform on. Nice shot. 7

I think that I have recently viewed the portfolio of the owner of this shot. Great horse photography, and if it is not the photog that I think it is then I am more impressed. 9

IMO copping some of the shadow out of the bottom to bring the fenceline and gateway down would improve this shot. Were the clouds at the top completely dark at the time or where they scattered with some light showing through. More of the scattered clouds at the top and less shadowed foreground at the bottom of the shot would be awesome. Great work. 7

Great timing. Shots of lightening never cease to amaze me. I love them. This would have been awesome for you if the night had been completely still (pretty impossible in storms). The reflections of the water would have been great. Nice colours through the forks of lightening. 7

Nice. Reminds me of some sort of African Safari shot. Great colours and use of shadows. Would look fantastic large. 7

On my screen this image appears to have a very slight line through it just at the level of the girls nose, perhaps the distant coastline. Removal of this, thus creating freespace above the foreground grass would improve the overall effect (POP) of this shot. I like the shot though, 7

Great perspective and lines in the fencing trailing away from the main subject of the shot. The area you shoot in does amazing things to enhance the overall feel of your shots and the foggy weather has further assisted you in your attempt to portray your meaning in this shot.

Well Done and deserving of a higher score.

Fantastic image Catalina. The temperature of this image really adds to the overall feeling of the shot.

I would be interested to see how this shot would look with the overhanging branches in the top foreground removed. I think that the freespace created by the removal would further enhance the image.

Great work.
