Lovely! I love the colors and how the sharp one is pointing to the right whereas all the others are pointing down or left. To me, this side challenge is all about using blur to bring out the beauty of ordinary objects/scenes. This is a perfect example of this. Well done!

really awesome and the LB makes the light seem so magical... I also see some kind of movement in this, like I am attracted into the image, compelled to start moving into the picture with the flowers, like a rushing effect... very strange.

Been trying really hard for some time now to achieve such smooth effect. You really got this right. I like the slight radius to the movement. it injects some dynamism into the shot, like the beginning of a twirly feel... And the colors are wonderful.

This is awesome Lisa! The placement, the light, the pink ring hovering around her legs, the matching toe nails, so many details that combine into one incredibly well mastered shot. The composition is literally spot on. A favorite for sure!

Through the Looking Glass

What amazes me in the side challenges is the variety of subjects people find in their surroundings. Stuff I would see but never think of photographing, thinking it is worthless in terms of photographic potential. This image is one of many who repeatedly prove me wrong. I like the light and colors - it evokes the end of the day, the retreat home and maybe enoying some time relaxing and sipping some wine.

That's why I love side challenges: they can get you out of a rut in no time! Thanks for sharing!

I really like this one. The blurriness goes so well with the delicate structure of the flowers. I also like the tones of the image, like it's the end of the summer. It reminds me of some japanese drawings.

This is incredibly beautiful and soft. It is as though the image is softening itself to match the light and delicate nature of the poppy. Colors are amazing too.
