Solder by ScottKComment: Hi Scott,
Sorry that I didn't comment or vote but real life got in the way :). Nevertheless it is a great photo and fits the challenge wonderfully. Congratulations with your deserved second place.

Comb & Hair by Harz_JoergComment: You did it again :)
I didn't have time to vote (or to submit a photo) so when I was just browsing this challenge I noticed a familiar name. I think you have deservedly won another ribbon. Keep up the good work!

Nemo: The Truth About Clown Fishby KINGComment: Thank you all for your comments! Regarding the amount of sharpness I have to say that I didn't do much about it. It just that the 50/f1.8 is so sharp =-). Another reason can be the DOF caused by the large aperture and the difference in distance between especially the top fish and the rocks in the background. |

gravel roadby whiteroomComment: LOL I can read this :). I reckon this photo was taken somewhere in South Africa. In Dutch the sign would say: "Rijd voorzichtig onverharde weg".
Now about the picture: I think the colours are a little dull. With the help of Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop this could have been easily resolved. Besides the sign there isn't much of interest. I think if you had showed us more of the surroundings the photo would gain much more appeal. |

Point of View of Big Brother. Beware: He Listens to Every Call.by labudsComment: It feels like I'm in the mobile phone eavesdropping on the conversation between Anna and her friend (?). All the little squares bring interest to this photo, just like the contrast between the warm natural colours of the ear and the cold digital colour of the phone. (7) |

Skyscraperby TechnoShroomComment: It certainly is a tall skyscraper! You meet the challenge and technically everything is alright. However it isn't very inspiring; although I do like the rhythm of all the windows and the perspective (6). |

Sky heartby greuuComment: First let me say something positive about this one. There is contrast (black versus white) and perhaps the shape (if I consider the title) is, well, different?
I have no clue what the connection with the challenge is . There is far too much overexposure and the photo isn't appealing at all. I think you could have done much better. (1) |

Geometry by kuarkComment: This photo looks like it comes from another world. It is a joy to look at the slight off-centre POV in this photo and watch all the different elements and lines. Combined with the black and white, the light, shadows and the distant landscape it makes this photo one of the best of this challenge (9). |
