Ski Footballby basia03Comment: I'll take your word for it that this is a sport but this is a rather dull scene. A ski lift in the spring with no passengers? The mid-day light is very flat. |

Choose your Gameby TimboMacheteComment: This is a pretty mundane subject. This composition isn't do much to make it more interesting. Perhaps if the background had been blurred the subject would appear more bold. It does form dthe classic triangle but placed in the center of the frame it's not working as hard as it should be. |

There are 3 in my Tennis Teamby awilkinsonComment: This arrangement doesn't do much to make this an interesting subject or an appealing photo. The background is simple and the image is sharp. You might want to keep in mind the classic triangle when arranging a still-life. This is almost there but not quite. If the shadows had formed more of a diagonal perhaps. |

Fixtureby DianaBComment: This is an extremely mundane subject. The glare and reflections on the glass don't help (you really need to use a polarizing filter to shoot a subject that is behind glass -- sometimes shooting at an angle can help reduce the glare and reflections). |

Play Ballby ddmckinney1954Comment: More care and thought needs to go into a still-life. The background is very ugly and says nothing about the subject. Placing the subject in context (a baseball field, a child's bed to show preparation for a game, etc) or in front of a simple background (unpatterned neutral cloth or background paper)
would be much more effective. Your focus is sharp and the lighting is good if rather flat and mundane. |

Row of Eightby Rando D300Comment: This is very busy and the lighting is very flat (sun directly overhead washes out detail). It would have been better to find a spot where you could focus on one kayak and eliminate the distracting background. The eye goes right to the middle kayak because of its placement but there isn't much of interest to see in the all that whiteness. From there the eye wanders but there still isn't that much going on but a lot of harsh shadow and mundane objects (such as the green plastic container at the right edge and the whte kayak support with what looks like a falling down kayakl but it is hard to tell). |

stand up!by luciophotoComment: This might have been a good shot but I can't tell because it is way too small. Please take advantage of the 640 pixel maximum so that we can see your photo in detail. |
