Between Stormsby ScottKComment: Thanks everyone for the comments and compliments. I was really kind of surprised that this was as well recieved as it was, just because I expected a lot of cloud pictures. But I was happy with the shot myself. I almost didn't get it. I had taken a lot of tighter shots, trying to get more detail on the hills. Then, as I was ready to quit, my daughter asked if I had gotten those whispy (stratus?) clouds - this one shot was the one that worked. Unfortunately, I had to crop a lot of the ground because below the bottom of what was left was a lot of messy looking development. Obviously, from the comments, there was a mixture of opinions on how well that worked. Thanks again. BTW, the title turned out quite appropriate - the second storm that came in the next day dumped almost 3 inches of rain on us, which is a lot for So. Cal. |

Fogby pitsamanComment: Very nice shot. The composition is great. Fits the challenge very well, and an interesting subject to boot. |

Rain must fallby GussiComment: I think cropping the buildings, and even the water, would have produced a better end result, but a good shot otherwise. |

Warm Prairie Windby SonifoComment: It took about 10 seconds before it hit me how well you captured the theme with this shot. There's something odd with the horizon, rise of the hills to the left, and the clouds that gives it a sort of fisheyed feel that I'm not sure I like, but overall this is well done. |

:()Hby EJComment: What's the title mean??? Nice shot, though a little crooked, and a little less water might have helped put the focus more on the weather. |

Lonely summer eveningby shutterbugComment: Where in the world is it summer right now? Spring in the north, fall in the south... OK sunset shot, but it's pretty dirty (spots) and noisy. |

Blue Blue Skiesby wingyComment: At least you gave something more to look at than "Blue Skys"! Pretty interesting idea overall, though the window's a little dirty ;-), and it would have been a little better if the barrel difflection wasn't so strong. |

After the Rainby dphillipsComment: Tighter on the water dripping from the spout would have fit with the title a little better. And either a faster (freezing the drops) or slower (giving them a stronger sense of motion) sutter speed might have given a better effect to the drops. |

Scorching Springby jjimComment: A little too dark. Brighter sunlight would have fit the title a littel better. Nice idea though, pretty good focus and composition. |
