The Drunken Masterby tiby_dicuComment: I find the flash a little too harsh on this shot - it's a shiny subject which means the reflection off the leg, stomach and post burns out. might have been unavoidable if you only had a fixed on-camera flash available though. |

Statue Portraitby SomeamateurComment: I find the light bar (fence top?) running behind the shoulders is a bit distracting. Hard to get rid of I know, but with the face in shadow that sort of highlight draws my eye away fromt the face. |

Porcelainby irish_eyesComment: I think if the child's face was turned towards the camera a bit then the light would have produced catchlights in the eyes and improved the shot. |

Fierce and Beautiful (Cropped)by joycedonadoComment: I think the cross-hatching filter/texture is fighting with the fur rather than enhancing the shot. The hair has a very defined directional texture and maybe a crosshatch would work better on a less detailed subject like smooth skin? |

Alexander Hamiltonby black_zComment: I don't feel I can score this highly because it looks like a straight shot of someone else's artwork. Sorry :-( |

Stop Looking At Me Swanby erinvisalliComment: White objects on dark backgrounds are always difficult - and here the whites are correctly exposed but the detail's been lost in the dark tones, and because of the way the light's falling on the head, it makes it hard to see the swan's eye - which is the most important part of the shot. |

the insomniacby irishblueComment: Unconventional to crop across the tops of the eyes, but it works for me - nice and staring. |
