Blue Flowersby kblmComment: Awesome subject. Very eye grabbing. Photo does seem a bit dark overall. I love the color in this. Nice job. |

Garden Angelby peripheral_viewComment: Took me a few minutes to get it. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Picture has great focus and detail but I think it needs to be backed up a bit. |

Fields of Goldby arnitComment: Very nice shot... the black/white works well to emphasize the textures and difference in texture between the horse and the field. |

Still aliveby heidaComment: Very nice, poignant shot! Challenge is well met in the multiple contrasts in subjects and form throughout. VERY nicely done! --9 |

Structureby severinComment: Interesting shot, out could perhaps use some different lighting to better draw attention to the grasshopper. There is also some odd effect visible to me in the fore- and background of the shot. (Not a direct result of a shallow DOF). It appears as though there is perhaps a bit too much processing in those areas, perhaps too much smoothing or blur... it looks quite grainy and pixelated, and there is some 'ringing' around the sharper edges. The center of the shot is very crisp and sharp, however. |

New Dawnby moodvilleComment: Very nice shot... I especially love the broad range of tones and colors you have captured here. The natural framing is a nice touch. |

spicy combinationsby magnetic9999Comment: Very nice shot; I really like the concept behind it. A couple of things that detract, in my opinion are the yellowish shadows against the stark white background, and the dark edges of the peppers in the foreground. I'm not certain what created the effect, but perhaps lighting, or even different post-processing steps could reduce it. --7 |

Reaching for the lightby ladpupmoeComment: Very nice shot, technically. I like the contrast of both the lighitng and the sharp edges of the plant against the smooth, almost rounded background and vase. One nitpick is that the shot is not perfectly vertical-- this detracts significantly, in my opinion. --8 |
