Digital Evolutionby sahkoComment: I'd love it to be the case that these all store the same amount of data. Nice stock photo, though perhaps a litle less square-on to the camera would give more interest: would quite like to see a perspective shot where they all take the same space in the frame, but are obviously receding into the distance. |

FireWorkby ashitshah16Comment: :-) Nice shot too - and nice comment about previous challenges.I always find shots purely of fireworks pretty dull though - I think they need some context. |

The Money Bagby evmariedogsComment: The moving coins are weird - almost unnoticeable, and i can't see the point of them. Technically a very good photo, absolutely no problems there, but I can't really see it's relevance to the challenge - did people never have money bags before? Is it dated somehow and I just don't know that? |

The word on the streetby johnmComment: Neat idea, and approach. Think I'd have shot from a little further away and zoomed in or cropped to avoid the distortion of the 't'. Not sure how it could be changed, but it seems a quite dirty photo, though I guess that's to do with the reflection and the window. |

Use to be full of horses, now only one remains.by FlynnComment: Why have the horse dead centre frame? I would think you could crop to the pillar beside it's head, and almost up to it's hooves and lose none of the important information and at the same time increase the compositional impact. It's a really nice capture though, great moment. levels and contrast could perhaps be usefully played with too. |

Political Sensitivityby johnnykillchristComment: Taken through glass? If you get closer to the window the dirt on the glass becomes less of an issue. Either that, or of course your lens is filthy! Quite a bit of jpeg noise, and not sure how the image fits the challenge. I expect a bunch of the Americans will find it deliberately offensive - I also expect that was the point. Trends? |

billiards or pools...whatever you call it...by gcosueComment: I'd be intersted to know why this shot was submitted: the only good point that I can see is in the relative positions f the two figures: the motion blur, focus, colour depth, exposure are all pretty bad though, and I can't see a good reason for it being there. |

1960's Coffee Barby tonywComment: Poor lighting: the reflections of the flash are horrrible, and I think the white balance has become confused - see how orange the white floor tiles are. Nice enough subject, but it needs natural light to stop it flattening out like this. |

Silent spectatorsby sunsonComment: Intriguing: though I find this selective desaturation technique a touch obvious now, and often used to make a dull photo more intersting. This does have a remoteness and desertedness that appeals though - and the over-exposure is well done. It's like a strange dream scene. No idea what to score it though ... :-) |
