flour sifterby anelisComment: Man, but this is a small photo. That has the advantage at least of allowing the strong general lines of the composition to show through - and those lines are strong indeed; but what's missing is the details. A photo should work on both levels, ideally - that sense of a grand design, and of the fascination and interest of details, and your submitted size orevents that I'm afraid. |

The Fourth Graceby zeuszenComment: Something weird: that, is my coffee table. It becomes, naturally, almost the only thing I can see in this photograph. Or at least, gives the image a range not intended by you. Truly co-operative. |

Alas, Yesteryear's State Of The Artby TommyMoe21Comment: i like the low-key kind of feel, though the visibility of that black background, and its texture kind of joins with the feel of the camera itself. The light on the bellows is good - real sense of texture, but I'm not sure of the effectiveness of that coloured light. |

like swiftly moving waterby ursulaComment: Like? Isn't it actually that, and thus not 'like' it at all? Good tonality, sense of movement without losing detail. |

Depiction of a Slow Deterioration after nearly a Thousand Yearsby redmoonComment: Quite like your burning - or however it wa done - giving that useful sense of focus. The only downside of it is that the contrast seems to have gone a bit along the wall and where the staircase is on the keep itself. Strong sense of composition, though I'd perhaps argue with your title - it seems more redolent of endurance of 1000 years than of much decay. Nice work. |

In Natures Own Time...by LisaCanComment: That backround ... well, at least you've used a background, but this: why not use a clean board? Let the decay of the fruit speak for itself, what is added by having that mess on the background? you light seems good too - though I'm not sure that you're quite in control of it - looking at those burnt-out highlights on the left-most thing, and the rim of the bowl. |

Suspended gardensby carlosmfernandesComment: There are quality issues with this - for all the world, it looks like a 100% crop out of camera. I like the tonality of it, and kind of like the odd angel you've presented. But it lacks the detail, or sense of detail. |
