Quite modern, I think; in the sense that your subject is not a classically gorgeous one, but is more about the real, the beauty of the mundane, the anti-beautiful, if you like, except this doesn include some more usual stuff. That very smoothness of that wate is exceptionally well done - those bubbles or whatever essential just to let us know it's there; the tones of the grasses work well with that blue also. can't imagine the masses going for it in any particular way, but it has appreciation from this quarter.

Nice light. But, composition? I'm not convinced that this is really strong - or rather, as strong as this scene could be: it might feel less likely, but a half pace to your right, and you'd have an expanse of light with your model in her beautiful light to one side quite strongly. Just a thought, but I can almost picture it.

Beautiful scene, not quite beautifully photographed, to my eye; you could happily have taken it darker, which would have brought so much more intensity to those colours, and richness. That would also allow you to be rid of those overhanging leaves: framing this way is not bad as such, but in this image I would think that the pelican and the horizon line and the clouds and the reflections would be enough. Lots of good stuff here, though.

Great photography, great processing. One so associates this toning with a find of reminiscent, sentimental photography, and this is the perfect antidote. You won't score well, but that's because of subject matter, rather a lot of blur, and unconventional composition, and a largely beginner-level audience; but you do from me.

I like the shapes here - it has potential as a fine shot. But ... well, processing lets it all down. over-exposed sun becomes almost nothing, the edges of the wing are blurred by compression artefacts if not actual focus. I'm certain you could have under-exposed this considerably, and brought the light back in processing, which would have caused less problems with the sun (and perhaps the lens flares), and the wing could happily have remained a silhouette - with the added advantage of confusing the viewer as to your angle relative to it.

This cold blue toning is difficult to use properly, but you've achieved it here well i think. It annoys my eye that that protruding thing is out of focus: I would have thought it made a good compositional balance to the water drops, and the eye is drawn there for that reason anyway: the drops seem to cradle it. A little more care with the file size might have enabled you to show us still more detail.

Nice study. For myself, i would have toned down that edge of the leaf with some careful brush-work, and perhaps played with trying to bring the background exposure down some ... just to force the eye toward the snail that bit more strongly (those patterns and shapes there are maybe a bit too present?). Light and detail on the snail are great, the overall crop is spot-on to emphasise the location. Strong work, and those reservations really are passing thoughts only. Well done indeed.

Great tonality all through - the grass colours are excellent. The unusual composition works well. After some time one starts to see figures in the white wall; I just wonder if it wouldn't blance better if you could have found more texture in the wall, or perhaps simply more graduation of tone, but that's just a passing thought. Neat photography, and interesting too.

Some lens to hand-hold. The composition is good, though I do wonder if it mightn't have been more effective to go for the full-on silhouette treatment: this feels a bit half-and-half.
